We’re excited to announce that you can now create your own fundraisers on Facebook to help support the Libraries2020 campaign. Your donations go to the EveryLibrary Institute (501c3) and help us build the resources and tools that libraries need to fight for funding.
We launched the EveryLibrary Institute as a 501c3 companion organization to help advance a research and programmatic agenda that strengthens the policy framework in partnership for libraries and librarians in the future. The Institute’s 501c3 charter is aligned with EveryLibrary’s c4 mission of building voter support for libraries, but it functions solely within traditional c3 grant eligibility and spending limitations.
These small fundraisers are great opportunities to support the issues and causes you care about. We hope that, if you care about libraries, you’ll consider setting up an EveryLibrary Institute fundraiser that helps us fight for library funding across the United States.

Specifically, your contributions to the EveryLibrary Institute will go to build the tools and resources that support EveryLibrary's agenda of 4 critical activities in 2020 that ensure that libraries will be funded well into the future.
- Help us make direct contributions to local library campaigns and elections
- Allow us to provide pro-bono tools and resources to libraries for political initiatives
- Support or oppose legislation that impact libraries’ ability to serve their communities
- Conduct national voter education about the importance and impact of libraries through television, radio, print, and digital media
As always, your donations allow us to provide all of this at no cost to the libraries and library organizations that we work with!
As a 501c3 your donations are tax deductible and together we can support library funding in a number of ways. Your donations allow us to provide pro-bono consulting, tools, and data to libraries in crisis or threatened with closures or defunding. Each week you donations allow us to educate hundreds of thousands of American voters about the importance of libraries making it easier for libraries to win across the country. And of course, through your donations it’s possible to make direct contributions to library ballot campaigns and elections.
In fact, the work that we do with your donations is so effective that every dollar we raise can be used to support the work of EveryLibrary and the potential to be turned into over $1,600 of stable library funding through EveryLibrary's advocacy and support for libraries at the ballot box. That means that if you help us raise just $100, you will have helped libraries earn over $160,000 in stable yearly funding!
